Lumabit Terms and Conditions

1. Who can use Lumabit
Lumabit is designed for learners of all ages, including youth. You can explore content without signing in, but creating an account will allow you to save your progress - especially on shared devices.
2. Content and licensing
Lumabit supports Open information and Open source.
All educational content is licensed under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 . This means you're free to reuse and remix the lessons, with attribution and under the same license.
3. Contributions and payments
Lumabit operates on voluntary contributions, as well as offering additional programs such as our "Creators Club". Contributions and payments are processed securely via our 3rd party payment provider - Paystack.
4. Refunds
All contributions and payments are refundable within 30 days of the transaction. To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected] or use our contact form.
5. User responsibilities
To help us save your progress, we recommend using your own account login. Sharing logins is permitted, but individual data may not be tracked correctly. Always be kind and respectful when interacting with other users. We do not allow any kind of harassment, abuse, or spam toward our team or other users.
6. Account suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, spamming, or harassment.
7. External tools and accuracy
Lumabit leverages and links to external tools and websites as we aim to provide real-life skills. These services are run independently, and are governed by their own terms, which you are subject to when you use them. We donβt guarantee their availability or functionality.
In the case that this service/website is no longer operational, lesson content will remain available on our GitHub repository.
8. Governing law
Lumabit is operated from South Africa. Any disputes or legal matters will be handled under South African law.
9. Changes to these terms
Terms may change over time. We'll post updates at lumabit.org/terms and changes can be tracked on our public repositories.
10. Accuracy
We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any of our content. We welcome feedback on our content and service.
